After what seems like many millennia, French midfielder, Paul Pogba, is set to sign for Manchester United.
It is hard to believe that the transfer window has only been open for a little over a month as the internet and media have been treated to a million years worth of Pogba related transfer rumours. Sold to Italian champions Juventus, back in 2012, for just over a million pounds, Paul Pogba is set to return to Manchester for a record breaking fee of 89 million. That’s right, at just 23, this man is worth more than you will probably earn in your lifetime.
This figure surpasses the previous transfer record set by the sale of Welsh winger Gareth Bale in 2013, when he left North London for the glamour and stardom of Real Madrid.
Whilst United probably should have kept Paul in the first place, it’s fair to say that his price tag is worth it and he will most likely become a pivotal part in the Red Devil’s set up.
Manager Jose Mourinho told the BBC that he awaited the Frenchmen’s arrival ‘…with open arms’. He continued on to say that Paul is keen to ‘…be an important part of the project’ at the club.
