House of Pharaohs

Creative, stimulating and passionate; just a few words that I would use to describe the artistic, Hip Hop collective: House Of Pharaohs.

Hailing from the UK, House Of Pharaohs are definitely on the come up. With AJYoungSoul, Blaze, Danny Stern and Kevin Taylor, being just a few, these young men are without a doubt on their grind.

Last year, they had the phenomenal buzz and success of presenting their raw talent, with the release of the Southern Stamp EP. Described as “unreleased pieces of art”, this EP pushes through the refreshing sound of UK Hip Hop at its best. Not to mention, individual productions such as the SELF-ISH EP created by Bandanna, and the COUNTER CULTURE EP produced by Sam Wise, these guys are doubtlessly on a mission, leaving you with a range of crisp UK sounds to indulge in.

There isn’t one live event that you won’t find these guys bringing a vibe to. Whether they’re at the world’s first video magazine, GUAP’s event, or alongside the sensational Etta Bond on the MILLY’S WORLD line up, House Of Pharaohs entices you with their contagious energy with every performance. From my own experience, I can promise you that when House Of Pharaoh’s perform, you can’t help but get turned up. Maybe there’s space for one more member…A female perhaps?

With the likes of UK Grime talent, Chip, tweeting the collective’s title, be prepared to see these boys’ name a lot more often. Brand new music is always guaranteed, such as the day’s old release of the first-class track, Raid. Already at over 11,000 plays on Soundcloud (and counting), support for these guys is hardly unnoticed, and recognising such natural talent isn’t tricky when it’s this good.

Like I recently highlighted, watching the Pharaoh’s do what they do best live, is a completely different experience to listening to them through headphones. So make sure you catch them at Ace Hotel London, this month on the 23rd. Or, catch them again the next day (24th March) in Birmingham headlining at the Sunflower Lounge. You do not want to miss it.

A crazy start to the year already.

I also had the chance to catch up with the creative kings themselves.
